The city grabs millions of visitors not only the histrocal treasures but also food unique cuisine, best shopping facilities as well. The city is still bridge between east and west as a gateway as it used to be in the past. Istanbul used to be the capital of thwo great empires, as Constantinople the capital of Byzantine-eastern Roman with great location and Islambol, as the capital of Ottoman. Every one can find an attraction, a sight, a museum, a shopping bazaar or a local restaurant, etc.

Blue Mosque is the imperial mosque in Istanbul visited by millions people each year. It has more than 20.000 blue İznik tiles therefore it is known as blue mosque all over the world. It is a must place of Istanbul where it locates just opposite of Hagia Sophia



It used to be palace of Ottoman sultans for about 400 hundred years where 25 Ottoman sultans were crowned & lived from 1481 to 1920. It is 7 time larger than Buckingham Palace in London with 4 courtyards including Harem section. It is one of the biggest & leading museums of the world with more than 55.000 objects are on display as well.



Hagia Sophia is one of the masterpieces of Byzantine arts in Istanbul. It was built as a church, it was turned into the mosque and it is a museum now. It served as a holy church for 909 years where 14 Eastern Roman emperors were crowned, it became a mosque in 1453 so it served as a mosque for 404 years and finally it was turned into a museum in 1935. It is the oldest Byzantine monument in Istanbul as well. It is really worth visiting



It used to be one of the big resorvoirs & water supply places of Constantinople with 336 high columns suuround the large water tank area. It a mystic atmosphere and makes the visitors so happy while visiting with a splendid music.



It was a summer palaca for Ottoman Sultans in Asian side of Istanbul with a splendid panaroma. The location is excellent overlooking the Bosphorus Bridge and it has a lot of valuable objects and furniture reflecting Baroque & Rococo styles under the influence of western taste. It was a mixture of eastern (Ottoman ) & Western (European ) architectures.



It was the last palace built on the shore of Bosphorus and has a lot of unforgattable memories both last Ottoman Sultans lived here and founder of Turkey AtatĂĽrk died in this palace. It covers a huge area with a big complex and the dancing hall is the biggest reception hall in the world. The furniture, gold plated columns, clocks, paintings and all objects on display are worth visiting.



After a busy day for visiting historical sights of Istanbul with the crowd, it is a break to see the beauty of Bosphorus. While cruising along side the both shores of Istanbul, the scenery of palaces and the mansions present an unforgattable panaroma for both taking the shots and watching the breath-taking view.



It is the inner sea and natural protection area for animals. It lookes like a horn shape so it is known as Golden horn where Byzantine & Ottoman navy fleets were placed with shipyards. It has a beautiful panaroma with three bridges over it as passes



Eyup Sultan is the religious center of Istanbul where one of the closest friends of prophet Mohammed was buried in a monumental tomb. The region is called as sacred area for Muslim believers and is considered the biggest cemetery of the city with shrines, tombs, gravestones, sarcophagus and graves. It like the biggest open air gravestones' museum in the world where reflecting all periods of Istanbul from 1453 to 1960. Not only the Ottoman sultans & grand viziers but also the protocol of Ottoman empire & ordinary pepole have been buried here for centuries to be closer to the Sahaba Eyup al Ansari.
It is located in Eminonu district just opposite of Spice Market entrance as part of New Mosque-Yeni cami complex. It used to be the resting place for Ottoman sultans & members of the dynasty before & after mosques and long Ramadan nights. It has a long entrance hall, two large saloons and a big balcony.



One of the leading miltary museums in the world having more than 25.000 objects in 3 floors with 8 big halls. It is house of Ottoman navy fleet and Sultan barges.



It is one of the beautiful mosques of Istanbul and it is the small model of Hagia Sophia by the seashore with nice mosaics & frescoes reflecting used to be church before. It has also unique graveyard with endengared Ottoman gravestones and the headgears are unique describing the occupations as well.



It is the biggest museum of Istanbul with more than 100.000 objects and half of them are on dsiplay. It is highly recommended for the military lovers to see the history of Turkish troops & oldest military education equippments.



It is the oldest & biggest shopping center of Istanbul with more than 4000 stores in entertaining about 500.000 people a day. Anyone who comes for a visit to Istanbul has to be inside and do shopping beacuse of its lovely atmosphere & goods for sale.



It is one of the well-known shrines where three Ottomans Sultans were buried with an open air courtyard containing around 100 graves and sarcophagus. The sarcophagus are really worth seeing &taking pictures. Late Ottoman high officials & grand viziers are buried here.



It was built on one of the hills of Istanbul and is considered last classic Ottoman mosque built in 18th century AD as part of a big complex-Kulliye. It is one of the well-known Ottoman cemeteries with unique gravestones as well.



Kariye Museum is one of the best historical museums of Istanbul only containing Byzantine art & architecture. The scenes from Bible were carved on the walls & on the ceelings as frescoes & mosaics. It is a must to visit.



Ĺžehzade Mehmet was one of five sons of Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent who died at the age of 23 so it was built on behalf of him by great architect Sinan. It is one of the big imperial mosques which was built by Ottoman dynasty. It is highly recommeded to visit not only to see mosque architecture but also the shrines & unique Janissary squads gravestones in front & back courtyards.



Mihrimah Sultam Mosque is one of the beautiful mosques located in asian side of Istanbul with endengared gravestones & sarcophagus. It has also two shrines in the courtyard. A beautiful Ottoman fountain is situated in front of the mosque.
