Kirsty S's City Tips

  • While Brisbane is a laidback city, you’ll need proper shoes to get into most bars and restaurants, and men will need to wear shirts.
  • Tipping is not a particularly common practice throughout Australia, although 10% in restaurants if the service is good will be appreciated.
  • Brisbane is warm and sunny almost all year round, but be warned that it can get extremely hot from December through February.

To up the romance stakes, take a spin on the wheel at night.
