This is a location where people will see street entertainers buskers food vendors it is close to every thing and public transportation, it is really close to the Amsterdam Central station, just about 10 minute walk,, more if it is crowded going to the Dam Square,, or you get distracted by the shops along the way or stop to grab a bite :-)
I think this is really best for GROWN UPS ,,it has some interesting things too see, interesting shops, and places to eat. When visiting this area go with an OPEN MIND
This was a really interesting historic site, loads and loads of beautiful carvings, chandeliers, marble ,art work, gorgeous old furniture, clocks,, there is something for every one, and the palace is wheel chair accessible.
I love going to the LaPlace, the food is excellent, and there is something there for every one.
Van Gogh Museum is worth seeing, his work is worth looking at , and I have gone back twice ,,I always manage to see something different each time..
Very moving, and worth a trip and the long lines to get in, may not be very good for people in wheel chairs.
Amsterdams oldest zoo, there is still work in progress, but it is a beautiful zoo, the animals are well taken care of :-)
If you love old wooden ships, boats, this is the place to go and spend the day :-) the place is absolutely gorgeous, and well kept
This museum has so many wonderful works of art ,some on loan some permanently ..it has a nice but pricey cafe,,
If you love plants, flowers, trees, you will love this place ...
