2. Trailhead

This is the hub for several trails in Giant Forest.

3. Round Meadow

Home to a variety of water-loving forest plants.

4. Young Giant Sequoia Trees

Giant sequoia trees rely on fire to reproduce. Fire clears the forest floor of duff to expose the mineral soil needed to propagate seeds.

5. Black Bear

Black bears are often seen in Round Meadow. Do not feed or approach park wildlife.

6. Giant Sequoias

Viewing the sequoias from across the meadow allow you to see how big these giants really are.

7. Clara Barton Tree

Named after the founding woman of the American Red Cross.

The Giant Forest Museum is one of the last remaining structures in the Giant Forest after over 300 buildings were removed in the late 1990's. The museum focuses on the life of the giant sequoia tree and also houses a small bookstore.
