A list of different places I've been and things I like about Panama City Beach Florida. Everything from vacation rentals that I've stayed in to things I've done that others might find fun and interesting.

  • 1. Capt. Anderson's Rest.
Capt. Anderson's Restaurant, Panama City Beach

A famous seafood restaurant, this is a place that many people plan their vacation around for a vist to enjoy some of the best fresh Gulf seafood and oysters in the world. Highly rated in many dining magazines a little on the expensive side and you may have to wait for a table but it is worth it.

  • 2. Shipwreck Island
Shipwreck Island Waterpark, Panama City Beach

A fun water park for the entire family!

  • 3. The Summit Condominiums
The Summit Condominiums, Panama City Beach

This is a great condo resort where you can rent from the onsite management company or using a vacation rental by owner website like my favorite VR800.com to find a vacation rental direct fron the owner. Located near many restaurants and attractions many people never start their car until it is time to go home. The Summit Resort has two large pools a Tiki Bar 3 big hot tubs, a very big private beach, a restaurant and convenience store and ice cream shoppe on site, fitness room, tennis courts grills, a beach playground, movies at noight on the beach and much more.

  • 4. St. Andrews State Park
St. Andrews State Park, Panama City

This is a must see when you visit Panama City Beach. Beaches are preserved like they were before people started building and disrupting the natural beauty. Many people do not realize that there is great camping here you can pitch a tent or put your motorhome right next to the water of Grand Lagoon. Stayed there and really enjoyed camping on the beach. Has a great bathouse and there is a wonderful view of the pass where large Navy and cargo ships and boats of all kinds make their way in and out of port to the Gulf of Mexico. There is a protected beach where you cah\n let the kids swim without worrying about water depth or creatures.

  • 5. Edgewater Beach Resort
Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort, Panama City Beach

A very nice and big sprawling condo resort that I found you must be very careful where your vacation rental by owner is located. Some condois are on the beach but many of them are located across the street where you cannot even see the beach.

  • 6. The Treasure Ship Restaurant

Good Food served in several dining areas the restaurant is very big and looks like an old time pirate ship. They have shows for kids and Captain Hooks Bar overlooks the docks where the deep sea fishing charters unload their catch. Very fun to be there around 5:00 PM daily.

  • 7. Gulf World Marine Park
Gulf World Marine Park, Panama City Beach

This is a great place to take the entire family everythiong from sea turtles to dolphin shows.

  • 8. Vacation Rentals By Owner Vacation Rentals 800

Great website to find Panama City Beach condos and homes for much cheaper than renting through property management companies or staying in hotels. I'd recommend staying at The Summit for all around fun. Many owners advertise their vacation rentals by owner on this site. You can find vacation homes, condos, luxury rentals, beach condos and beachfront homes.

  • 9. Deep Sea Fishing From Captain Anderson's or Treaure Island Marinas

Many different options for your deep sea fishing adventure. Fish from one of the big Captain Anderson or the Jubilee party boats or rent a private charter boat. You can bring your own boat and keep it at Treaure Island Marina.

  • 10. Pier Park - A Great Place to Shop, Eat and Play

Pier Park is on its way to becoming the new "Downtown Panama City Beach," with its collection of enchanting restaurants and eateries, coffee bars, chic retail shops, and The Grand Theatre, a 16-screen state-of-the-art movie complex.

  • 11. Bay Point Marriott Golf Resort and Spa

This is a very nice exclusive area overlooking the beautiful St. Andrew's Bay, Bay Point Marriott Resort offers a relaxing location, complete with top-rated golf courses, water sports, and exciting recreational and play activities. The marina has some of the finest yachts and sport fishing boats anywhere and the annual fishing tournament in July is worth the trip. There are also some condos for rent by owner in this area.

  • 12. Zoo World and Botanical Conservatory

This is a non-profit educational facility. Open to the public daily at 9:00a.m. ZooWorld is home to over 200 animals both exotic and many Endangered. Offers the opportunity to view many animals, but you can also learn a lot about them by reading informational signs or attending daily animal shows.

  • 13. Club La Vela One of the World's Largest Beach Clubs

Club La Vela is not only the largest nightclub in the USA, it is also one of the trendiest and most respected nightclubs in the world. As such, Club La Vela has to continuously reinvent itself to stay on the cutting edge of entertainment and club life.
Entertainment for 18 and over even seniors can enjoy dancing at the club.

  • 14. SPINNAKER Beach Club and Paradise Grill Restaurant

SPINNAKER... the club that started the party on Panama City Beach... SPINNAKER... over twenty bars in one giant club... SPINNAKER... the one place you have to go when you hit the beach.... SPINNAKER... Concerts, bikini contests, dance, drinking, and, of course, Spring Break on Panama City Beach!

  • 15. Hammerhead Fred's Located across from The Summit Condos on Thomas Drive

I like to visit Fred's a legend on Panama City Beach when i stay at The Summit ....from Ice-Cold Apalachicola Oysters, to one-of-a-kind Seafood Dishes. “Kick back on the front deck and enjoy a frozen drink while listening to the sounds of a steel drum band." Freds is local seafood....local flavor.
