Cheap flights are available exiting Perth with carriers such as Air Asia, Jetstar and Garuda offering the more frequent direct flights. East coast departures will usually include a domestic flight to Perth or Darwin, however there are also several options for cheap flights travelling directly into Denpasar. Organise a 30-day Visa in flight or upon arrival, depending on your transfer point. Denpasar International Airport is approximately 9km from Seminyak. Exit the arrival lounge and a Ngurah Rai Airport Taxi attendant will issue a ticket for a fixed price fare, or book ahead for a shuttle bus service your accommodation may provide. Getting Around Seminyak

Transport options in Bali are mostly efficient, cheap and easy to master. Getting the most out of a stay in Seminyak is achieved with a combination of travel options. Much of your exploration will be done on foot, however negotiate a fair price for short distances with a Bemo or minivan ride prior to boarding. Hire a bicycle for around $2 per day or for greater distances a car with a private driver. It’s certainly not impossible to ride a scooter about the place – do so with caution and check your travel insurance covers engaging in these activities.

Perched on prime real estate, waves crash below the magnificent sea temple, Tanah Lot. Visit Petitenget Temple, Geger Temple and Pura Taman Ayun. Snorkel the pristine waters of Lembongan Island and when salt water gets too much head to the water slides or just relax in the pools at Waterbom Water Park. Climb aboard one of the majestic hosts at the Elephant Safari Park of Dusa Taro and embark on an unforgettable trek through some of Bali’s lusciously green landscape. Get into surfing with some surf lessons at Kuta or soak up the sun in a deck chair on the golden sand of idyllic Mengiat Beach. Keep it simple and sample locally-made Luwak Coffee in the Jatiluwih rice fields– it’s the world’s most expensive caffeine in a cup!

Shopping, Dining & Nightlife

Shop at Seminyak Square, Kuta Square or the shops along Jalan Raya. Have fun haggling at the Kuta Art Market – cheap doesn’t mean unreasonable so keep things fair and light-hearted. For fine dining try the set menu and romantic setting of The Living Room in Kuta. Enjoy decadent soft shell crab salad at Sarong and Ginger Crème Brûlée at Sardine. Party on the beach at Double Six, wet your wine palette at Ku De Ta or enjoy a cheeky Mango Pomegranate Mojito at Mama San.
