It's safe area . Not so safe as far as some of the guests . Some look perfectly acceptable but others not so much . There was a prostitution murder there last year .
The hotel is as clean as a old beach front hotel can be . I seen no bugs or dirt in the rooms . Elevator and halls were very dirty but spring breakers throwing up didn't help the situation . Housekeeps were working constantly however to clean .
The hotel is located along the beach with all of the other hotels and motels so the safety of the area is reasonable I guess. I did not however care for the fact that there was a Gentleman’s Club directly across the street or being told by the front desk that we could park next to it in the empty Pizza Parlor lot if all of the hotel’s parking spaces were taken during our check in. The lights outside of the rooms were dim creating a creepy atmosphere at night however during the day all seemed to be well and guests were enjoying their stay.
The hotel was clean and well kept but definitely an older property. I didn't see anything that was a concern for safety or security. My wife and I were very happy we stayed here.
It was very clean, and it is in a very safe area, there were tons of kids from West Virginia not for spring break but for soccer tournament at ESPN in Orlando, they were all very well mannered and nice. You can't see the strip club there are no windows. Your kids would only know if you told them about it. The club is right next door to a sub/pizza shop which delivers to Lexington and the food is very good.
