Battleship Missouri Memorial Questions & Answers

Huntsville, Alabama

Do I need to buy tickets to Battleship Missouri Memorial in advance? I plan to get the online tickets to the Arizona 60 days in advance but not sure we will all want to go to everything at the park. Once there, can we choose other exhibits? Do these other exhibits sell out like the Arizona? How long are the lines for Bowfin, Aviation Museum, Battleship Missouri. Thanks for any information

You can purchase tickets on site for the Missouri & Bowfin. But definitely order the Arizona ahead of time.

We bought the Arizona tickets 59 days before and enjoyed getting to select an afternoon time. We also bought the full park pass in advance, but enjoyed the Missouri, the Arizona and the Bowfin the most. Wish we had known the aviation museum and Missouri take so much time to shuttle bus to (on secure site). We had to cut the Aviation museum tour short to make it back for Arizona time slot. Plan on the Missouri and Aviation taking 2.5-3 hours with transport time! The Bowfin and the Missouri are a MUST see. Parking is free but you may have to walk a small distance. Plan on spending 5 hours enjoying the whole Park.

Not critical to buy in Advance if you arrive early eg 9:30 am of before. Bowfin, Aviation and Missouri has no line up. Line for the shuttle bus is the main problem can waste up to 2 hours of your day.

Here is the suggestions from myMissouri review:

It is a tough call as to which of the four major museums to skip if pressed for time. I would skip the Naval Museum next to the submarine, get a ticket for the Arizona Memorial, visit the submarine while waiting to go to the Arizona then take the dreaded shuttle to the Missouri and save time for the Air Museum at the end of a long day.

We visited every single thing there with hardly any lines. If you get there when they open, I would take the Bowfin walkthru tour first. When we went there were only about 10 of us in the sub, its a bit cramped, but that is a sub for you. Then when its your scheduled time to take the boat out to the USS Arizona Memorial, take the boat out, watch the video, after we visited the museum we hopped on the shuttle bus to take us out to the Missouri - my son who was 8 at the time, was so in awe of the elder gentleman that gave us our tour, he was front and center listening. I was so proud of him. Have a lovely time
