you can purchase a Winter Passport only 3 homes are open for the tours during winter. you can do 3 homes in 2 days not rushed or in one day at a quick pace the Breakers, The Elm and one other home in close proximity. because it is so cold.... I recommend going in Spring so you can enjoy the Cliffs walk we couldn't because it was icy and snowed over. still enjoyable because not as crowded if you don't mind the cold...make reservations at the restaurants always can cancel but they fill up fast!

You can see many of them in one day. There are tickets allowing you to go to multiple estates for the same cost.

Depends on when you travel to Newport, as there are limited mansions to see during the winter and more during the busier season. You can easily see multiple mansions per day, so again it depends on your dates.

Depends on how many you want to see. Two a day to really enjoy. Audio tour full listening two hours. I enjoyed listening to Everything. The docents also answered questions. A few nice b and b’s. We stayed at Spring street inn.

You don't need more than 2 days to see them all.

Not entirely sure, but would have thought 2 days would be ample.

If you like to explore them deeply, listening to the audio guides in houses that have them, exploring the grounds, taking all the tours - give yourself 5 days.

If you want to see the houses, do a basic tour and move on, you could manage all of them in 2 days. BUT some houses require registration for a tour and others are open to all.

The best way in my opinion is to join the Newport Historical Society - reasonable price for a family - and admission to all is free plus you can read all about each place first to understand them better.

We saw 5 mansions in 1 day, but was rushed. I'd say 2 days to see most but 3 to see all.

Three if you honestly want to see all of them. However, 2 days is plenty of time to see the most interesting ones.

Two day should be sufficient. You will want to spend more time at The Breakers and less at the others. Don't rush. After the tour of The Breakers, spend some time on the patio and lawn watching the water and relax. You might need it after the vast amount of detailed information given to you on the interior.

One day should do it as some are NOT worth visiting. Some look like old hospitals on the inside.
