StoneBrook Resort Questions & Answers

Ardsley, New York

I am disabled and use an electric scooter for vacations. I can walk with a walker. I need to find a hotel that is handicapped accessible - (i.e. no steps). If there were accessible rooms that would be a plus. Would the StoneBrook Resort be able to accommodate me? We are thinking of visiting in mid-June.

Hello Susan

We have some ground floor cottages that you should easily be able to maneuver a scooter around in. We have had previous guests get along just fine. If you are looking for an accessible cottage; we have another property in our condominium association that provides an accessible unit. Give us a call if you would like more information about our cottages or if you would like the other property's information.

Thanks and Happy Planning!

They have ground floor entrances and ground floor bathrooms, but the place we stayed the bedrooms were up or down a flight of steps. Call soon as they book up early in Estes .

That is a good question. In the two rooms I have stayed in, the bed is down a narrow flight of stairs. So not handicap in those two rooms, 10A and 10B, I do not know about other rooms.

You should call the resort. The unit we rented was a two bedroom. It had stairs going up to one bedroom and another set of stairs going down to another bedroom. Our unit would not be good for handicapped people.

You could get to your room, but not the outdoor hot tubs by the river.

There are single story cabins that would be ok for you. You will really enjoy your visit there. And the staff is awesome.
