I'm going to be visiting Richmond in mid-October. Is it worth coming here that time of year or is everything done blooming and not as beautiful?
Still plenty to see in October both outdoor and indoor in their large greenhouse. The orchids are especially nice. Also they often have special events on weekends which are often enjoyable.
I'm sure something will be in bloom. Lewis Ginter is a nice place to visit year round. Cafe is really good too!
I have no doubt that something will be in bloom if only mums.
However, even in the dead of winter this place is worth a visit.
There is much more to the gardens than blooms- sculpture, hardscapes, evergreens, greenhouse. Just go, you'll be impressed.
It is beautiful all year long. Each season has its own magic. There is always something to enjoy.
Absolutely, there is plenty of indoor garden area and the Japanese Garden Restaurant is a must see/do while at the Lewis Ginter.
To be honest I am not really a plant person but they offer more than just plants. Definitely worth the ticket price to stop by even without the plants.
Always something beautiful at the gardens,,, you can't go wrong visiting here
Most of this attraction is indoors in large, beautiful greenhouses. October is a beautiful time to visit.
This place is beautiful year round. And, there are several attractions depending on the time of year.
I would say Absolutely! Mid-October is a good time to visit.
Most plants should still be blooming, but not as in the full splendor of late spring and summer. This, of course, does not affect the conservatories, which are very worthwhile to see. If you have the time, I'd recommend going.
Lewis Ginter is year round. Always worth the trip. Starting in December they will have the lights too which is fun after dark.
There should be remnants of fall foliage.
