About how long is the usual visit to see the gardens, in hours?
Wow, thanks everyone for helping out a fellow visitor! These are all great answers. We've seen visitors that want to spend the whole day exploring (or multiple days) and visitors who want to just spend an hour. We agree, to really see the whole Garden and the Butterflies LIVE! exhibit, 2.5 hours is a good amount of time to allow for a leisurely pace. Keep in mind, the Garden changes daily, so it's nice if you can make several visits at different times. There's always something new blooming.
I would say 2 hours or less unless you have children and linger at the childrens garden which is quite extensive and fascinating. It is not expansive but it is delightful!
If it's young adults who walk fast, can be done in probably 2-21/2 hours. But a family with children or elderly, plan an afternoon to really take it all in and enjoy the day. There was 4 of us with a baby in a stroller and we were there about 4 hours
Couple of hours. There are a lot of things to look at.
I went at night to see the Christmas lights, walking through at a pace to enjoy the lights and take a few pictures was about an hour, maybe a little more. we went into two displays inside and then to the gift shop. I'd say probably 2 - 2.5 hours total at a leisurely pace. We could have gone through a little faster, or spent more time had it been daylight and lots of blooms to admire and/or photograph. it's a lovely setting, easy parking and I look forward to going again, in the daylight, to enjoy the flowers.
A couple of hours if you’re just strolling through, but allow more time if you’ll be admiring particular blossoms, stopping to rest in the sitting areas, shopping at the gift store or enjoying a meal at the cafe. Also, you may want to spend a good amount of time in the conservatory, especially when the Butterflies Live exhibit is there.
1 - 1.5 is the length of our usual visit. 2 hours should be plenty for most people.
Minimum of 1 hour but more like 2 or more depending on how much you linger
I would give yourself about 2 hours.
We walked around for 1 1/2 hours, then spent another hour with our grandchild at the water play area and sandbox.
1 or 2 hours, depending on how slowly you meander.
It is a low cost relative to the experience. The visit could be just an hour but I would say 90 minutes would give a good walk through but 2 hours would be a better tour of all they offer!
