What are the policies on pets, what is the overall condition of this property? Is it clean? Where is this located in regards to the Ober tram?
You can have pets at this location there is also no pet fee love this lol. The property is decent for the money, its always been clean and frendly staff but it is a little dated. The trolley will pick you up in the drive way at the motel. It runs every 30 mins and its only a 50cent surcharge per person!!!
These folks are great and allow pets (large dogs included); mine look forward to a return trip every year...and think they are in Heaven! Rooms are very nice; clean, working refrigerator/microwave combo, TV and shower. A long block down the hill and to the right takes you to the pet friendly Gatlinburg Trail (2 miles to Sugarlands Visitor Center) and from same corner to the right, another long block to the Ober Gatlinburg Tram. For me and mine---the ONLY place to stay in Gatlinburg.
We found the room to be large , if a little shabby looking. The bed was comfortable and it had the usual amenities, sm refrig, microwave, etc. no coffee pot but you could get it where you check in. No breakfast. Personally I dont like a place that allows pets because i'm alllergic to them, and at times have been near rooms that allow them that the pet owners have left their dogs in late at night while they're out, and have kept me awake late, but it was prime season so you had to take what you could get.We wern't bothered that night though. i expected more from a motel 6 though.
Pets are welcome but let them know at the time of reservation. A little off the 'strip' but I noticed people walking to the attractions and there's a trolly. The rooms were clean and as expected for M6. the outside is a little iffy. Could use a good cleaning, although it appeared part of the debris was from the rooms being refurbished. we were on the parking side which was convenient to the rooms - but the parking lot is tricky and you have to maneuver some to turn around and exit. I walked to the back to see the stream - the area was littered and not at all attractive. unless walking out your door to be directly on the 'strip' is extremely important - this is a decent choice. (The pets allowed part is the best I could find in the area)
I do know they are pet friendly but I don't have any other details to give you. The majority of the rooms have been updated. Fresh paint new flooring new fixtures. The room we stayed in smelled like paint so it must have recently been updated before our arrival. our particular room was clean and we were pleased with it. As far as the walk from there to Ober Gatlinburg it's between 5 and 8 minutes approximately.
