We are considering staying here in a few weeks but of all of the complaints regarding nasty smelling and dirty rooms i'm concerned about why people were not issued refunds or moved to a better room...can any past guests elaborate? Thanks!
I don't know anything about smelly rooms. We enjoyed our stay and the room didn't smell. They don't allow pets which I'm sure cuts down on smelly rooms. I always bring lysol regardless when I stay in any motel or hotel. We stayed in a room that was creekside and had no problems.
fortunately we have only had minor issues and have stayed at least five times and coming back in a few weeks. last year they were undergoing remodel which causes some clutter but we very much enjoyed our stay. only complaint was request for creekside room not honored
past two years. I have done several reviews for my visits and I am always brutally honest. hope you have a good experience.
They changed owners and it is not kept up as well. They obviously over charge now for what you get. Some people get robbed by the high rates and aren't smart enough to realize it.
oh my. I am not sure who had that experience but ours was FABULOUS. In fact we asked the front desk what they used to make the rooms smell so amazing. I generally don't tip housekeeping unless it is exceptional and I left a good tip. We will return here. We stayed in room 321. I travel a lot and this is one of the cleanest nicest places I have ever stayed. the breakfast was outstanding as well. I will say that it was booked solid when we went. We didnt have a need to move rooms but if we wanted to they would have had nothing to offer us. we stayed less than 2 weeks ago.
Just threw up our hands and left. The less the contact with this bunch the better. Lesson learned.
Our room was in the back of the hotel. It's an old hotel and has no frills. The two rooms we had were clean and had a ref and sink. I would stay here again if for nothing else but for the convenience to everything.
Thanks everyone, I was just nervous because there are so many comments about dirty smelly rooms. Hopefully it won't be an issue for us!
I suggest you ask to see your room Before giving a credit card.
We did leave right after seeing our room and requested a refund. It took 4 weeks and numerous calls to finally get our money back. I don't know why anyone would stay.
We had 2 rooms with a connecting door. The rooms we stayed were clean and the bath rooms are good too. We did not have any issues.
I was also concerned about potential smells because my son has asthma. We were very pleased that there was no obvious or distinct odors. The hotel is older, but we personally did not have a bad experience.
