Expeditions Lahaina/Lanai Passenger Ferry Questions & Answers

Vallejo, California

Are there things to do right where the ferry lands on Lenai without renting a car etc.? We would only be there a couple of hours.

If you only have a couple of hours I would bring snorkels, towel and swimsuit (as suggested earlier) and walk over to the beach. It's a beautiful one, dolphins like to hang out there once in a while. Perfect for a picnic, too. One used to be able and walk up to the hotel and its bar by the pool. Not sure if they still let you do that under the new ownership ... Or, yes, go up the hill to Lana'i City. Depends on what you prefer: Sun by the beach or possibly clouds and cooler air up in Lana'i City which many on the islands here enjoy - nice change from the heat. Blue Ginger is a local restaurant. Good food, big servings. Enjoy!

The beach is the only thing near the ferry landing. So, bring your snorkel gear, towel and swimsuit.

There is not a lot going on near the ferry (Lanai itself is a pretty quiet Island anyway!), but cabs are readily available to zip you wherever you want to go on Lanai.
