The studios of the resident artists are located all around the inside edge of the building. There is an information counter right as you come in the door and you can ask there. Or as you are walking around the building, just look in all of the windows until you find the one with the large kiln in the middle of the studio. The glassblower's name is John and he will guide you through each of the steps in making your own piece. When I was blowing it, I blew too hard, but we started over and the second time I knew NOT to blow hard but slow and gently. My vase proudly sits in the middle of my dining room table and is a very special memory for me.

There were chairs to sit on along the window so that you can watch other people. John was also very accommodating in showing where my husband could stand to take pictures of the whole thing (which can take 30 - 45 minutes).

We were there for a conference over several days so we signed up for times during the day ahead. I would think that you could call Tamarack and get connected either by phone or email with John to set up a scheduled time when you might be in the area.

I hope that you are able to work it out - it was a wonderful opportunity!

I just checked online. This is what I found

Let John DesMeules, our resident glass blowing expert, guide you step by step through the process until you have completed one a truly unique and one of a kind hand blown glassware! John’s make and takes are $55 per person. You can make your own paperweight, drinking glass, ornament or vase. Classes are first come, first served Fridays, Saturdays, Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 am – 4 pm. I hope this helps

I would love to attend one as well. I would ask at the information desk when you enter Tamarack or go to Tamarack wv website where they have additional info. From what I read they have workshops frequently and operate on first come basis but you can access their calendar and phone number is made available on the webpage to call for additional information. Hope you get to experience and enjoy!

I'm not sure but you can probably call Tamarack and ask them. They'll be able to connect you with the department or person that schedules those events.

I would check the website as I didn't see any such info when I was there. Good luck.
