How long time should one expect to typically spend there?
There is so much to look at and so many unique cars, the time depends on how much of a petrol head you are. Just for the casual enthusiast I would allow at least 2-3 hours for the die hard at least 4-5 hours. They have a cafe on site and food is reasonably priced and okay.
At least three hours-bring a lunch or eat in the cafe.
2 hours is a minimum. You can wander all floors at your own pace.
I agree with other reviewers -- 2 to 3 hours. The cars are displayed on ramps for ease of walking. There are just a whole lot of cars -- pretty fascinating -- even for those not wildly enthusiastic about cars. Enjoy.
I would not do less than two hours, but I am nostalgic about the cars. In other words I am older than most. But still not more than four hours. Three for planning is about right.
I recommend coming in the morning after a good breakfast, depending on your interest level, you could spend the day till 5 PM when it closes. Take rests on benches, breaks. I ran out of interest after a couple of hours. There's information to read that was fascinating.
Couple of hours.
We spent several hours walking down the walkway. We didn't have enough time to walk back up the walkway and ended up using the elevator. I would recommend at least 4 hours.
Just like others said, it depends on what your interest in cars are. Anywhere from 1 1/2 to 4 hours I'd say. Took us just over 2.
I am one of those people who likes to stop and read every sign. Half a day for me.
I would say at least two hours, maybe more. Not sure what your interest level of old cars is, but you will be amazed at how many cars they have. Very interesting to see!
I suggest anytime between one and two hours, depending on your interest in cars. We saw about half the museum in two hours.
Plan on at least 2 hours unless autos completely bore you.
I would recommend 1.5 - 2.5 hrs
One to two hours, max. It is self directed so you may take more time in one area. There is a lot to see
If you are by yourself and you are an enthusiast it would be hard to define the amount of time you would stay.
Whe I go by myself I like to make drawings and that does take a lot of time.
If I go with my wife it is a much shorter visit since she is not such an enthusiast.
Also if you are a senior citizen you may not be able to walk around for too long.
At least two or three hours. Will you have kids with you? Save time for the slot car tracks and the driving games and the other kids' activities. This isn't a "rush-through" place.
I personally like to take my time. There is a lot to see. There is also a snack bar if you get hungry
As previous response indicates, it does matter how much you appreciate cars and history. Normally my groups from out of town that I have taken have allowed 2-3 hours minimum. Best to arrive earlier in morning on weekends, a little bit less crowded. This is an easy location for getting on and off the interstate but sometimes a bit of delay due to I-5 Construction
