HYB Eurocalas Questions & Answers

Greater London, United Kingdom

Please be really honest guys.. I’ve read quite a few reviews, and a lot say the staff pester you to write a 5* review on here to win something or other, that’s cool we all love a freebie, but it’s ok I wont judge. But just want to know if the 5*’s are genuine?? It’s my first time taking my 2 young children away... and before I press the confirm button, I just need some honest honest opinions x

Oh no I’ve booked this but so scared as it is, as it’s been a while for me, and my children have never flown before, and my whole family of 32 have booked and coming along. CHILD ABDUCTION?!? This makes my heart go my worst ever fear.

if you are planning on just staying in the hotel then it would be ok as it's in the middle of no where. food not great and staff are rude.

also the week after we returned (last june) there was an attempted child abduction in the hotel that staff tried to cover up but it was in the news and the family involved posted a review about it on here. x

We weren't asked to write a review when we were there in August so perhaps this was happening after August to get the rating up. The hotel has positives and negatives as do most. It depends what you want from a holiday. I think it is a Marmite hotel. In my honest opinion the hotel grounds are far too small for the size of the hotel and the number of people there. I felt that around the larger pool and splash park that we were packed in like sardines same during the evening and also in the restaurant. The smaller pool wasn't as bad. You can find secluded spots but when you have young children they want to be by the pools. The pools are great my children loved them although take pool shoes as it is slippy around the pools. The little town isn't far away but it doesn't have much there but we enjoyed wandering round. We also had a problem with them over booking so didn't get our room until day 2 buyt they at least found us a room with them and not at another hotel. We enjoyed the holiday my partner and kids loved it. I wouldn't rush to return as it was too busy for me and the wasp's are a pain. Luckily we weren't stung but I have never seen so many wasp's in one place they were awful. They build their nests under the balconies on the buildings. We have booked for greece this year but i was nosy and priced up Eurocalas and the price this year was ridiculous. For what we paid it was fine but i am glad I didn't pay big bucks. Also, the beach that you can catch the shuttle to is beautiful but very very busy - was stressful with a toddler. The other beach has loads of steps but we preferred it as it was quieter but a hassle to get to with a pushchair.
