Is it possible to get a single event pass and not the gold pass? If so much are they for each event? Taking our kids, 7 and 10. Will have about an hour and a half.
We went and were allowed to look around every area for nothing
Museum / cafe area / outdoors jumps etc
I think if you want to go on the bus tour they charge . Also if you want to use the bobsleigh run they charge
Enough to do in the main centre in hour & half and keep 7 & 10 year old amused
With interactive stuff in museum and exhibits
Yes, absolutely. The museum itself and all attractions inside are free of charge and there is a lot to see and do (interactive) including a simulated bob sled ride and ski jump (recommended for sure!). You could easily spend a full half-day seeing all inside plus taking the bus ride ($12) to the top of the actual bob sled track, but fairly certain the inside attractions should do the job for you and your kids. Well worth a visit. Enjoy!
Yes- they sell single event tickets which you can purchase online before you go.
since there are a few answers by others, I will only say about the Bus ride - it will bring u to the starting point of where Ski Jump is: very impressive when looked down from top of Jumping point, even feel dizzying - it must take one a lot of Courage and professional training to jump through there! Visitor center at the entrance has free movie show, 20mins rotate showing; 2nd floor near the stairs has a photo taken place, also has display items for last Utah Olympics, one video showing Bobsleigh Olympic medalist, very impressive.
I think the previous answers sun up everything I was going to say. You can easily spend hours there so you should have no problem. There are videos (free) and a simulators (nominal fee) in the museum—and an Olympic display on the second floor that I am glad we saved for last! Have fun!
There are no "events" as such. There is tour which others have described. With kids you can probably spend up to two hours there taking the tour, looking around and visit the museum. You can it all for free if you skip the tour and do your own uphill, but the tour provides much more info.
Visited last Feb : the Museum which is really interesting and fun to see is FOC. I took the tour bus ($12,00 p. adult) that took us all the way up to the bobsleigh training route and the high ski jumps. Was very glad that I did that. Takes about 1 hour.
Even without this tour, you'll have more than plenty to see/do in 1, 5H time! Enjoy
