How is the dinosaur exhibit? My son loves dinosaurs so I was curious to see if it is worth it?

Hi, I work at Brookgreen, we have had mostly very positive feedback on the exhibit. Kids love it and some big kids too! It's only here through April.

Sorry, I was not notified of this. As far as animatronics, it was top rate for the price of $8. I've seen other "ride type" exhibits that cost twice as much and were not even close to the quality of these machines. It is located in a section of the children's garden with a wrap around fence, which isn't the ideal display. I'd say it's good for little kids.

I am sorry, there was a dinosaur visit but we didn’t go to it. There were about 10 dinosaurs and there was an extra charge.

Not sure how old your son is, but I would say that young children would enjoy the animatronic dinosaurs, but older children and adults may be a little bored. The display is all out on an open field so there is not a lot of suspense or staging and while the information about each dinosaur is interesting, we didn't feel that it justified the entrance fee.

The sounds from the dinosaurs are motion triggered and I must admit that I didn't realize at one point that I was as close as I was and jumped when the thing roared at me! May want to prepare small children for the sudden sound...

Wow, I don't think we did either! Give them a call and I'm sure they will tell you how big it is and what it consists of. Your tickets are good for two days entry and if you like the other parts you'll need that much time!
