There are no azalea and camellia blossoms in May but roses and many annuals are blooming. Brookgreen is beautiful in different ways the year round.
sorry, I was there at a different time
It was my first visit to Brookgreen. I made the assumption that "Gardens" meant lots of flowers. That is why I said it was a "sculpture garden, with flowers". It was well-worth the trip, and I would recommend it to everyone.
I haven't been to the area in spring, I think the gentlemen above has the best answer, check with Brookgreen Gardens and see what they say. When we were there, everything was green, the grounds were well taken care of and the sculptures are incredible.
There are always blooms of some kind.
There is such a huge variety of flowers and trees I would assume something is blooming. I would call if you want to know which are. I took my mom to Swan Lake in Sumter a few days ago to see the irises, but few were blooming, This town is more inland.
The best way to get an answer to your question is to contact Brookgreen directly and they can tell you what's in bloom. Based on our own gardens, and we live in the area, we have loads of flowers in bloom right now, but still best to check for your answer with Brookgreen.
