Boone Hall Plantation Questions & Answers

The times for the tours do not work with our schedule this time, but we would love to drive up to the house. Do you have to buy a ticket just to drive into the plantation?

You can drive up and see the grounds, slave quarters, and see the outside part of the plantation without purchasing a ticket. The ticket allows you access inside the Plantation. Because you only have access to three rooms of the house, I'd go for the slave quarters and grounds on your own!

Once you enter the gate (which is where you pay), you choose what you do or don't tour. The only thing that has specific times is the mansion and you can't do that without a guide. There is also a tractor tour which runs every thirty minutes-I think.
