Tahune Forest AirWalk Questions & Answers

Brisbane, Australia

Hi Herman,

From Brisbane and planning on visiting Tahune Forest Walk tomorrow, I read your feedback and have to ask, if you didn't go in, how can you judge? This long winded version of your day really doesn't tell me anything about Tahune, should I go?

Did you have information from previous visitors that you didn't share with us that helped you come to your opinion, do you feel that you are suitably informed to post an opinion given your apparent lack of knowledge, or do you know something that we don't.

Read the review, it concerned the Airwalk. There is walk through a small area of forest that takes you to and from the Airwalk. The drive to the location is good. Please read carefully any review so you don't ask unnecessary questions.

Hi we have just arrived home from Tasmania , we did the tahune air walk just last week and we absolutely loved it. The drive in is lovely and the walk itself is beautiful , the swinging bridges are awesome and just walking in the bush is fantastic. We have a beautiful place here in Australia, so do yourself a favour and experience it for yourself you won't be disappointed, even if it rains whilst your on the walk it just adds to the rain Forrest experience as the smell in the bush after a bit of rain is just beautiful. Be sure and carry some water and a light rain jacket just in case is carried these just in a small backpack. Hope you enjoy

We loved it too. We went in late October 2014 and were lucky that we went the day we did as it was closed because of high winds the following day. So do check it is open before driving out there. There was several walks that could be done along the river as well as the one that includes the high walkway. We were surprised by the walkway as it was a lot longer than we thought it would be and just absolutely gorgeous. We also stoped at the café for a cuppa and a snack. Free Wi-Fi in the café too.

Well all I can say to Herman is he just has no idea what he missed out on and well it is a little different to the walk in Coffs Harbour even though that is nice too.

Kingy If you don't mind paying the fare then absolutely do it. Make sure you also do the walk along the river as it has some beautiful little walkways and viewing platforms.

If you love beauty up amongst the trees it is well worth it. I loved every minute of it and so did my partner. It is one of those one time things that you are very happy to do.

The cafe is a nice place to come back to and have a beverage of your choice or other. The drive in itself is wonderful. I don't know how you could drive all that way and not take the walk. The trees are magnificent. Go and do yourself a favour and take the walk and enjoy this beautiful country of ours.

Happy walking.

Hi all, we did the walk and paid the entrance fee, loved it. We did Cradle Mountain, Freycenet, Port Arthur and Tahune Airwalk. Tahune Airwalk is absolute value for money and highly recommended. We couldn't find the alleged "free walk" mentioned by one of the responders but did note that it would be very easy to walk in and help yourself to a freebie if you were that way inclined, we were not. We did the walk, swing bridges and I even had a go on the eagle hand glider. I feel that my question was appropriate and timely, thanks to the other responders for a value add response.

This s probably too late for you but I thought to answer your question. (I was for a week on the Gold Coast and found your question today - Sunday 22/3) At an entrance fee of $27 per person I; my partner; and local (Hobart) friend believed it not worth the visit. AND yes I have been there had a coffee with my partner and friend and looked at the photographs and brochure and decided that we would rather spend the money on a lunch etc as explained in my "long winded" review. I thought that it was clear that I compare apples wit apples. That is, The Rainforest Skywalk in Coffs Harbour New South Wales is FREE. The Rainforest Skywalk at Mount Tamborine Queensland is $19.50. If you did walk the Skywalk I hope you had a nice time. Why not write a review about your experience? Thank you for your question. Greatly appreciated:-)

For me the Tahune air walk was the highlight of my time in Tasmania. Just learning about the history of this area was enough, let alone the natural beauty.

I would recommend it.
