Hi Sue

I took my dog there when camping with my boys. We took him everywhere with us, although had to carry him over some of the rocks at times. We had him on a lead at times and at times he just trotted along beside us. Also, there is plenty of space to camp away from others if you need to.

I have been living in the Top End for over 10 years now and thought the prices there were very reasonable for my 2 sons and I - there are costs in transport and storage in remote areas that are not issues elsewhere.

Hi Sue,

Definitely dog friendly. I agree with the above comments especially the camp at Tomato Island. Lovely spot and again - dog friendly.

Hi Sue,

I did see dogs at Lorella but they had to be on a lead at all times.

I booked them from their web site direct.

Do go, I am sure you won't be disappointed. There is sooooooo much to see and do there. It isn't cheap but it is so worth it and when you consider how far they are from any form of shops etc you can see why things are a little pricey. The homemade bread is to die for - just brilliant!

If you are coming down from Darwin/Katherine then there is a brilliant camp site not too far from Ropers Bar at Tomato Island called Munbililla - new and absolutely brilliant. See my review of it.

Any more questions just contact me again. We have now driven both halves of the Savannah Way From Broome o Darwin in June 2012 and now Darwin to Cairns in Sept 2014. Brilliant!
