Hi,

Honestly it was a lovely place to stay, just the history of the house, its older than Australia !!

There are 2 to 3 restaurants literally across the road, 4 minutes walk. We didn't eat at them, you can find them on Trip Advisor in Montford (or they may call it Vitrac). There are others a short drive away and then loads in Sarlat. If you go there you must eat at L'adresse it was my favourite meal in 3 weeks in France.

Happy to answer any other questions, have a great time .....

There is the most charming restaurant a 2 minute walk away - Angelus - I think it's called. Run by the sweetest couple - Patrick and Kate. We loved the experience. Monfort is such a beautiful, tiny hamlet. I think there might be a couple more places to eat near by. If you stay at L'Ombriere, you absolutely won't regret it!

I think that there is only one restotant within walking distance, but Andrea gave us some very good recommendations for very very good restaurants around L'ombriere. As well Barbara is cooking, and u can order a meal.

Enjoy your vacation.

Im so sorry for the terribly late reply! Hoping this may help other travelers. Yes! There are actually several options within a VERY easy walk, one of which is a charming, tiny, family-run spot. I can’t remember the name m, but Andrea and Barbara pointed it out to us!
