how early does one need to arrive to get into the arena for a concert?
It really depends on who is playing but I would get there at least an hour prior. Parking is terrible so be prepared to pay $10 to $20 to park. If you don't mind walking you can park over behind the City Market for free and walk to the Sprint Center. The lines getting into the Sprint Center move pretty fast. If you go to the P&L... every night is $8.00 beer night and that is after you pay the cover to get in. I would just go to McFadden's across the street, or if you want a good dinner the Bristol and Drunken fish are just down the road.
My suggestion is 45 minutes prior to the concert. Admission lines move quite quickly and the seating sections are clearly marked. Hope you enjoy the concert. The Bristol Cafe in the District offers excellent dining if you have an interest.
I usually arrive an hour early in order to wait in line, get through security, find our seats, locate the nearest restroom, get drinks then get back to our seats before the show starts.
Personally I am always an early arrival to anything that I attend. Depending on if you want close parking or if you have someone to drop you off.
There are several parking lot venues some just further than others.
I would say 30-45 minutes is sufficient if you are taking a taxi. Traffic usually isn't too bad going into the arena. Parking can be brutal but since you'll avoid that you should be good! Have fun and grab dinner or a drink at power and light after to get the full experience.
I always arrive 1 hour early to deal with the lines.
i'll be taking a taxi to the center.
Parking is always at a premium around the Power & Light District. It mostly depends on what else is going on at the same time as something is happening at the Sprint Center. Sometimes it is no problem - other times it is pure crazy!
