Lightning is the determining factor. Rain: yes, Lightning: no
Yes, tours are still held unless there is lightning. No umbrellas allowed, but a rain coat or poncho will do. Just make sure to wear boots or water proof shoes..
I sent a memo to Big Cat Rescue as I did not have the answer. Here is their response: "Yes we do go out on tours if it is raining. We have complimentary ponchos for those who need them".

They do, if not it’s not raining to hard. Umbrellas are not allowed, because it can scare the cats. Must bring ponchos or they sell them at their store.
They still do the tours...no umbrellas allowed because they can scare the animals...they suggest ponchos or I think you can purchase them in the gift shop.
They don't hold the tours during lightning. With all the trees and chain link enclosures, that wouldn't be the smartest or safest thing to do. I doubt that the cats would choose to lie next to the chain link in that circumstance anyway. They are smarter than that.
I asked Big Cats what happens in summer rainy and lightening season (Summer). Their response: " i believe the only time we cancel tours is if the guest do not want to go out in the pouring rain and if the lighting is bad and close to our area". Hope this also helps.
