I heard that Europeans were cheap when it came to tipping, I guess it's true, I don't believe for one minue they no money, who'd go to a foreign countrywith absolutely no local cash?
Europeans not tipping as much as the locals obviously do, probably has to do with cultural differences and habbits, not a lack of money. It's not like it's very hard to get your hands on some dollar bills when you're in America.
It's not hard to get US currency pretty well anywhere, but if you're going to travel in a foreign country you need some of its currency, even if you want to travel on a bus. There are plenty of banks in most places and bureau de change as well, but not quite as easy to find.
