Rarely if ever do you need a reservation. You can make make one if you so desire. They do get quite crowded but usually a very short wait for a table. They have inside and outside dining options as well as bar seating where you may also be served
I don't think reservations are required but I suggest you try to call in advance (at least the day you want to go) to be sure you can get a table. We were there during the week and went early (6 PM) but we did book a few hours in advance.
We did not have a reservation on a Saturday night at 7:45 pm and didn't have to wait but 10 minutes.
We got a table on the terrasse without a reservation. We may have just got lucky.
Reservations are not required but if you call ahead and get your name on the list you have preferential sitting over those who just show up..
No reservations are required unless you're going with a large party.
I have never had a reservation - just walked in and was seated quickly every time.
Preferably on weekend
