Albany, New York

Hi, planning a trip to Bonita Springs late March. Is the surfing good on the beaches there for a beginner surfer?

There would need to be storms prior for the waters around here to be very interesting for a surfer. You’re more likely to see SUPs on the water.

Thanks for all the replies, looks like swimming and sunbathing will be the major activities and I'm fine with that.

I didn’t see anyone surfing when I was there- it was very calm.

Sorry but there basically no waves... only in stormy weather. The Atlantic side is much better for surfing. Enjoy the beach at Bonita!

The surf is not very big on the gulf side of Florida. Might be better off body surfing or using a body board as opposed to a surfboard.
