Fenton's was started back in 1894 as a delivery service and soda fountain in Oakland, CA and has been an icon for ice cream since then. It was always a treat to go there when I was young. Of course there was also Moo's ice cream in Richmond too.

No. Vaca Valley Creamery was a local family concern in Vacaville still operating in the 1950s. It eventually closed and ceased all dairy operations.

I agree with Dabney W's comments. There could be a link to a Fenton family from the 1950s OR NO connection at all.

It's a 2007/2009 construction at the mall.

Popular place for families with kids. Loud, cafeteria, style place.

I don't believe so. This location was built at the former Nut Tree Park. The shopping plaza was built around 2007/2009 and Fenton's was added here around that time.
