There are 346 rooms. This is smaller than most resorts and one reason we prefer to stay here. Everything is close. No need for shuttle. Have seen 3 mosquitos in 15 years. We are returning in 1 week for our 13th time to this resort.
There are several buildings on site. They are all two stories. I felt that the rooms we had were great. The rooms were neat, clean and the staff throughout our stay was wonderful. Dominican Republic is hot with high humidity year round. The rooms have adjustable AC so there is no reason for an musty odor. If there was a problem, it was attended to immediately. And the food and drink is great!!
They have hundreds of rooms. My advice to you would be to avoid booking this hotel. It is outdated and smells of damp. The staff in reception have I don’t care about your problems attitude. It took us 3 room changes an 5 days of continual badgering the hotel management and our holiday rep before we got a room that didn’t stink.
The previous year we stayed in the Dreams La Romana in Punta Cana and we would without any hesitation go back there.
I would not return to the Iberostar Punta Cana even if I was paid $5,000 a week.
“BE WARNED”. This area is infested with mosquitoes.
Many hundreds spread out by small numbered buildings along the walkway leading to the beach.
