I need a first floor room since my wife has difficulty with long walks and stairs.
She gets around fine in room so ADA accommodation is not needed.
The Yavapai room would seem to fit the bill.
How far is the entrance from the closest parking?
Are there any privacy/noise issue with it being right off the public area?
How about the view from inside the room? What do you see?
What about night sky view?
In short -- any input from anyone who has stayed in this room would be welcome.
I spoke with a couple who had a downstairs room, and they loved it. I assume it is the room you mention, but I don't know. It's right off the living area. The walkway is entirely flat from the parking area. I just had a knee replacement a year ago, so I'm conscious of distance, and it didn't seem very far to me. I can't estimate the yards to the back door, but it seems accessible as the parking area is adjacent to the house.
Hope this is accurate, and that it helps!
The first floor room we stayed in had no privacy or noise issues - the place was super quiet in the evening. There is an essentially level walk down a well paved path from the parking area to the front door and then a very short walk to the room. Talk to management about total distance - I think ~40 yds. The view is of some red rock formations on one side and out across the valley on the other. Very nice.
I can't say about the view from Yavapai room, because I stayed in a second floor room. But it seems that all the rooms have more or less the same view, which is gorgeous.
I don't remember about the night sky (it was cloudy), but I could witness the sunrise on the red rocks and this was memorable. The parking is just in front of the hotel.
