I enjoyed your review of the Penrose. May I ask which room you had. As first time visitors, do you feel three days is an adequate amount of time? We are not hikers, but photography enthusiasts. We are interested in the Pink Jeep Broken Arrow tour. Could you also offer restaurant suggestions.
Thank you, in advance, for any information you can share.
Hi. I think 3 days is a good length of visit. You will love staying at Pennrose! We stayed in Javelina and adored it, but I truly believe any of the rooms would be wonderful.
Sorry but I can't help you with restaurant recommendation, we were there for only one night and it was so beautiful and serene we didn't want to leave, so we picked up a bottle of wine and some take out and ate on our balcony. I think the people at Penrose might be able to help with recommendations, especially the owner.
We didn't have much time in Sedona (will plan better next time!) but my sister did one of the Pink Jeep tours last year and still raves about it.
Hope this was a little helpful. Have a great trip!
amazing photo ops-all directions. Changing light can be spectacular. Min 3 days. You'll see.
Three from last spring would be: Italian down the hill as recommended by innkeepers; their menu book is extensive; others I don't remember so ask them.
We have stayed in the Javelina room a number of times. Nice views of the Red Rocks and facing east you get the sunrise. Three nights, four days, is adequate to enjoy the area. In addition to the Pink Jeep tour you could also try one of the local wineries -- if wine tasting is of interest. We stopped at Page Spring Cellars (Cornville) on our way back from Jerome. As for dining, Cucina Rusitca had good Italian food.
Hello, we stayed in The Coconino room and really liked it. 3 nights is a good period of time to stay. The Pink Jeep Broken Arrow tour is so much fun! Restaurant favorites for us are Cucina Rustica, Rene's and Elote. L'Auberge is nice for lunch at creekside. We really like Jerome too (about a 30 minutes West) - the Haunted Hamburger is a fun place to go for lunch there. You will get some great photos in Sedona and Jerome. Have fun!
