JA Oasis Beach Tower Questions & Answers

Melbourne, Australia

Looking to stay this September/October. Was really keen until I looked on google street view and saw the building works across the road/walk.

How much does the construction in front of impact on holiday makers? Does it block access to the beach? I love the look of these apartments but don't really want to see a construction site in front each time I leave.

Any advice or comments from recent travelers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It depends which floor your apartment is on. The higher the better. The views to palm and the beach are amazing. Superior apartments are on higher floors compared to deluxe apartments. Having said so, rooms are quite spacious. There is construction going on around but that won't affect you getting in and out. Beach is 5 minutes away. Ideal location to get to main restaurants on the walk. Good value for money. Clean rooms with excellent house keeping.

The construction does not affect your ability to walk to the beach, though this is down a wide alleyway that is maybe 100 m long. You might also see the construction from your apartment, depending on which way it orientated. The construction is not visible from the pool area though (which is really nice, and will hopefully be shaded much of the day in September; we were there in January). Also, when you walk out of the building you will see the construction, but it's not really a big deal since you can quickly move away from that area. These apartments are really nice, and actually huge inside. Only problem we had is that we booked via the Dubai Stopover option that Emirates airline offers, and when we arrived at the apartments were informed that our bokking had been cancelled. Not a good start, but they resolved it. Plus booking via Emirates was suprisingly far cheaper than doing it direct.

I posted pictures from our room (last week). The building going up in front of the hotel do NOT block all the view. Only partially. Still a great view. New construction is SHORTER. Access to the beach is about 200 feet walk past the hotel and the hotel provides free shuttle to their private beach.

There is a new island being built called Blue Waters with apartments and hotels.

You're still able to use the beach and all the facilities along the walk so it shouldn't affect your experience....

In truth, there is construction everywhere, so it's something that in reality, is part of the Dubai experience, I'm afraid.

You are only a 5 minute walk from the Beach, shops and restaurants, which really come to life at night, so it's a great spot to be located in. It's a 15/20 minute taxi ride to Dubai Mall.

We didn't feel that it spoilt our trip at all and the breakfast, which is served in an adjacent restaurant, was very good and even met the approval of a very picky aunt. Apartments are well appointed and you should have a great stay.

The only way you can get away from the majority of the construction is to stay at one of the resort type places, but that is down to your budget.
