Just wondering if this hotel provides hotel/airport transportation? Otherwise what would you suggest and what type of fee would I need to pay.
I agree with Eric. Taking the subway is the cheapest and fairly hassle free option if you're traveling with light luggage. Take the airport express from the airport (follow the signs marked clearly in the terminal) Dongzhimen station. Get down and transfer to line 2. Change onto line 5 at Yonghegong lama temple station. Get down at Dengshikou station which is the closest to the hotel. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the station through some small alleys which are safe at night as well. On the way back we chose to take the airport express bus which the hotel staff can help you get to. You can buy the ticket on board the bus and it picks up from Sunworld Dynasty hotel which is around the corner. Hope this helps.
Yes, I agree with Basil. When we arrived in Beijing we were approached by someone at the airport and I thought, "This is China. The government is so strict here that I am safe." Wrong! He used some kind of meter app on his phone and it was way more than a regular cab. Just grab a taxi and it should be fine. Not tipping please.
I don't think they do. We took the metro from the airport. It's pretty easy, just make sure you know exactly where the airport is at. I highly suggest you download maps.me, it's an offline gps/map program which is great. I don't remember the lines we took, but we had to switch to like 3 different lines to get as close as possible to the airport. The cost was like $3 usd per person.
