Can anyone tellme if the climb is okay for children? we are used to abit of trekking- my boys are 9 & 11.

They will inshalah just name sure to start early and take water plus camera so you film your journey and never need to return.

yes they will be up the mountain in +-20 mins so be sure o let them carry their own water bottle .Half way up there is a kiosk so a few Riyals for novelty or beverages will be good to keep them occupied , binoculars will add to the trill in locating your hotel.

there are no abulition facilties at the top

In Sha Allah, they will enjoy but take proper supervision of them while climbing up & coming down. Try to say Allahu Akbar while climbing-up and Subhan Allah while coming down and after reaching say Alhamdulillah. In Sha Allah things will be fine

Yes my brother aged 9 climbed the mountain late at night with us and he actually enjoyed it and was much faster than the adults. There are steps, not just rocks so its a little like climbing a staircase. Just ensure you bring water, get them well-rested before the trip and also make sure to have something light to eat before climbing, for energy. Make lots of duas because that is the most important :)
