Is it impossible for a non-Muslim like myself to visit the Hira cave (and also the Thawr cave)?
You can definitely visit not only this place but also the best & sacred & blessed places on earth, Grand Mosques of Mecca & Madinah and no force on earth can prevent you from this, provided you believe in one & only Creator Allah & Prophet Muhammad ( Peace be upon him) as his last messenger. In simple words become a Muslim. It is as simple as that !
I'm so pleased you are interested in our religion. There is only one way for you to visit. Inshallah you are guided well to make that decision.
YES it is impossible for none Muslims because it is in side Makkah (Mecca) boundary line
Anasfk, I have been interested in Islam for a long time and am studying its history. I would like very much to visit some of the places where Mohammed (pbuh) lived. There seems to be a lot of misinformation being spread in the West about the religion which is very sad.
I believe that only Islamic religion followers (muslims) are allowed to enter mecca. since jabal noor and hira cave comes under this I think it's not allowed for non Muslims to enter. but please confirm as I may not be exact.
What is your intention to visit there?
No. It's not possible. Non-muslims can enter any islamic sites anywhere in Saudi Arabia except Makkah and Madina. It's in the Islamic law that reserves the these two cities as a sanctuary for believers alone.
