Hi, are the mosque tickets for the audio devices? I heard that all mosque entries are free in Istanbul. I am confused why there are tickets then. Thanks
It is a museum now requiring payment.Audio.is extra
Hi Hagia shopia is not a mosque it’s a mosque turned into a museum so you need to pay for the entrance and u need to pay extra for the headphones if you want . Hope this was helpful
My tours were all guided tours. I used audio aid in only one place, which was the Dolmabahce Palace. The entrance ticket does not include audio aid. At the second entry booth, You can get an audio aid. They will want a deposit and photo ID for each audio aid. On your way out you there is another booth. You simply hand back the audio aid and get back your deposit.
Blue mosque and sulmaneah moseque are free. No tickets required.
Hagia sophia is a museum, so ticket required.
Didnt get an audio aid so won't know about that
Never used audio so I don't know sorry. I have never seen any fees to enter a mosque of any kind just restrictions about when since you should not go in during services. Sophia is a museum not a mosque thus there is an entry fee. Be aware there is as of Oct 2018 extensive renovations going on so while Sophia, Blue Mosque etc are open there will be a lot of restoration activity.
This is considered a museum. Admission fee is 60 Turkish Lira for Hagia Sophia. Children under the age of 12 free of charge.
no not all mosques are free
Entry to Blue Mosque is free. I went in to pray with my family.
Main Mosque entrances are not free. Only neighbourhood mosques have no entry tickets.
The mosque are all free
But hagia sofia you pay for it but its not expensive
There is an entry ticket for Hagia Sophia
We took a guide so won't know about audio
