Dear Darryn, this very much depends on how you book and who you book with. If you book with an OTA such as Agoda or Expedia normally you pay to them via credit card at the time of booking. If you wish to book direct with us via the Booking Engine on our website (ohanahotelpp), not only will you find the best rates, but no deposit or pre-payment is required. You can pay when you arrive at the hotel either in cash (Riel or Dollar) or by credit card (Dollar, MasterCard). I hope you find this information useful and we look forward to welcoming you to the Ohana Phnom Penh Palace Hotel soon!!

i have stayed at the Ohana a number of times. always booked online and provided credit card details as nothing is debited until your stay is complete. charges are in US Dollars and converted later. always take plenty of small US notes and yes good to tip cleaning staff as they earn very little. Plenty of places to change money from Aussie Dollars, just check rates as some larger places give poor exchange rates.

I booked with Agoda and received a prompt reply from the Ohana. I paid when I checked out with MasterCard. Most payments in Cambodia are with US dollars, even for small purchases and change is in riel. Take a lot of one dollar notes for tips. I always tip the bellboy a dollar and leave a dollar under the pillow for the cleaner every day. Cambodians are poor and a dollar is always appreciated.

I had booked beforehand through a third party website. No problems on checkin, this is a reputable hotel from all reports, didn't have any issues. I don't recall even a credit card to use for incidentals, after checkin, but I was tired, however no long lock if there was.
