Planning a December trip to DC and am considering booking an executive room at the Capital Hilton or the Hampton Inn White House since I'm a hh member. Does the executive room include continental breakfast at the Capital Hilton? I read reviews saying the hotel uses a garage about 2 blocks for its valet parking. Whenever one needs the car, how long does it take to get it? Appreciate any help with these points. Thanks!
Yes, there is a breakfast provided in a private dining room off the lobby for the Executive Levels. It has some hot entrees, like scrambled eggs, but not a complete menu. It was plenty to get us started on our day. We did not drive so I cannot help you with parking. We used the trolley system or Uber/Taxi for convenience because it's a real challenge to park in some areas. Have fun.
Being a HHonors member, depending on which tier, breakfast should be included with the executive suite. Every Hilton I have stayed at in the past 10 years includes access to the Executive Lounge when staying in an Executive Suite. In this case, at the Capitol Hilton, the lounge is on the ground floor. Parking at the hotel when I went was about $60 per day. The metro is close to the hotel (no more than a two block walk), inexpensive, and very convenient. I flew into Reagan and was at the hotel within an hour using the Metro. Hope this helps.
I have to go along with other comments. The Capital Hilton is awful.
Read my review where I talked about live fleas in the room and then totality underwhelming respond from management about it. Almost anyplace is better than the Capital Hilton.
I have been a Hilton Diamond member for many years. I would consider looking elsewhere for a room if possible. My recent experience with this property was unfavorable.
I would highly recommend booking somewhere other than the capital Hilton. The executive rooms are not near as nice as they should be, the staff is not very attentive and the executive lounge continental breakfast is a zoo with people. I think sleeping in your car in the garage would be a better option than that hotel. I've been a Hilton honors member with diamond status for 17 years and it's the worst Hilton property I've ever stayed in and my stay was only 3 months ago.
