Hello everybody, I will be in Vilnius for 5 hours before my flight. please give me suggestion what can I do? is it far from the bus station to the centre (or old town or any other interesting place)?
Thanks in advance for your rewcommendations
Taxi would only take you 10-15 mins from the Vilnius Airport and there are plenty to see, especially the Old Town - which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Within Old Town there are many Museums and the Cathedrals also cheap Restaurants. Please approach Tourist Information Center from where you get the detailed map, and also many suggestions from them. Good Luck!
Hello. Plenty to do. The bus and train station are only about a 15 minute walk from the Old Town. You can easily spend 5 hours wandering around and enjoying that area. It is beautiful.
It’s 10 mins from the airport to the ring road which costs 1 Euro on bus 88 from memory. Far cheaper than a cab and the buses are every 20 mins. Any of the roads will lead you to the centre of the old town but do take a map as you can get lost if you haven’t got your bearings, there’s maps at the airport. We walked to the 3 crosses on the hill, and to the Tower or the views. If it’s raining, then head for the KGB museum that will take a few hours. Otherwise, mooch around and have a beer or two as well.
Its about a 15-20 minute walk - as to what to do - walk, look, watch, listen, see and enjoy!
Old town is beautiful and easily walkable in a mere couple of hours.
1 euro in a bus number 88 to the city centre. Uber over taxi as it is cheaper. Enjoy the time walking around the old town
You could do a free walking tour depending on arrival time. Only 10-15 minutes by Uber or taxi to city Centre. Walk, shop, take photos. It’s beautiful. Check out museum of genocide or a cultural museum only 3-4 euro admission.
A taxi will take you only 20 mims to the Old Town from the airport. Check website Tghe Culture Trip for some suggestions of great places to visit
