We have air conditioners only in the attic rooms where it becomes really hot during summer. All the other rooms have fans and fairly big windows and we believe it is sufficient. It doesn't get too hot most of the days and as the house we are located in has thick walls made of stone, the temperature there is usually very pleasant.
The attic room had a portable one that worked pretty well. The other room we stayed in a higher category didn't.
Our rooms had fans, and it was easy to open the windows. It was very pleasant in Prague when we stayed there (first week of July), so we did not really need an air conditioner.
I apologize. My room, on the 1st landing up the stairs, had a thermostat and a fan. So I am assuming there was air conditioning. Also, I went to Prague mid April so it was very cool at night. Hope this helps.
Yes, they do.
