How do get there using public transportation?
What is the currency for Prague?
We used the trams, a 3 day pass cost 1500 (about £10) Czech koruna, but also the majority of areas are in walking distance, which is a lovely way to spend time and find fabulous places by just stumbling across them. Enjoy
Ahoj fellow traveller,
That's hello in Czech... and you pronounce it like Ahoy!
Hopefully if you're going to Europe you can walk a bit. You see SO much more if you meander along. The Charles Street bridge is a trip in itself, with amazing buskers and arts and craft vendors. Although super crowded at this time of year, you won't want to miss it.
The Charles Bridge actually connects the old town to the Mala Strana... so just keep walking. This historic section of Prague has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992.
It is simply amazing on this side of the river. Enjoy every minute of it. It was such a treat to be surrounded by so much history and beauty. I miss it big time.
Have a great trip1
Krona only in Prague, sorry for late reply...
Walking anywhere in Prague is easy. Where are you staying?
Mala Strana is a 15 minute walk from Old Town across the Charles Bridge and a 10 minute walk down from the Castle. Unless you are staying on the outskirts of Prague it is an easy walk from most places.
Currency is CZK krona.
To get to Mala Strana is a lovely walk from the old quarter across Charles bridge and follow the road.
Otherwise tram is an alternative No 22 stops in the square or at the top of the hill for the Castle
Hi, the currency in Czech Republic is Czech Krona. CZK, and you can exchange it from USD, EUR and many other currences almost on every corner in the center - in hotels, in the Aiport, absolutely no problem. Moreover, in some shops and evey supermarkets you can pay directly by EUR.
And the second one - you can reach this place or by tram (No.12, 20, 22 to the "Malostranske Square" or by subway - to the "Malostranska Station" (green line "A") and than by walk. To pay for the public transport you can just buy ticket in some kiosks or to pay via SMS - but I am not sure if it is possible from foreigners mobiles with not Czech mobile numbers. Taxi no problem, you can pay by CZK or EUR - but be careful about the price and used exchange rate (1 EUR is cca 27 CZK today) Enjoy your time :-)
I can't answer your first question, as I don't know where you are coming from. Ask your hotel for help with public transport. If you are in the old town, then you walk towards the river and over the Charles Bridge and you are in Mala Strana.
The currency is Czech Koruna (CZK).
