We are around midnight will the free shuttle be able to pick us up?
We were left stranded at the airport even though we had earlier made arrangements to be picked up on our return. After a very long and tiring day we were stranded at the airport at 1.00 am. We paid for a taxi from the airport but once we disembarked we were unable to check in. Our friends were rung at 2.30 am and a household of five people woken and their sleeping arrangements changed so that we could be provided with a bed for the short time that was left of the night. At 2.30 am our friends drove 30 minutes across Auckland to collect us and take us back to their residence. We were offered compensation in return for not mentioning our disaster or posting negative reviews on line. Not prepared to be bullied so no compensation.
They should be able to pick you up but it would be good if you let them know in advance that you require a late night pick up so they are prepared. Ring them on 09 275 3499 or make a note in the Special Requests section if you have used an online booking service.
