We are coming up from Melbourne by train, how do we get from the station to the exhibition please?
Thank you so much for your question.
Walking from Bendigo Train station to the Gallery takes approximately 15 minutes. Straight up Mitchell Street and View street past the Forever Marilyn sculpture in Rosalind park (take a picture of yourself with her). There are a few cafes and shops along the way that will make the walk a little slower.
Alternatively, you can catch a bus from the Bendigo train station. The number 50, 52, 53, 54 or 55 bus to Bendigo Art Gallery.
We do have more information and a map on our website under About Us and Getting here (I cant put a link unfortunately on this part of tripadviser).
We look forward to seeing you here and please let us know about your visit.
Sorry do not know that one. But the locals are super cool and just ask.
Hi I actually come from the ACT so normally drive. As answered by others I am sure there is a bus to central Bendigo and it is an easy walk to View Street and the gallery. Also sure there would be a taxi
Buses leave the station a few minutes after the train arrives, just ask or look for the Marilyn Munro poster at the bottom of the Bus Stop Post, they run regularly. Although it's not toooo far to walk, it is up hill. We were a group of 4 senior ladies, too far for us. After visiting the exhibition, we walked downhill to the Marilyn statue, it's on same side as exhibition. Lunched, then actually caught a bus back to the station, probably only half a km. lol
It is only 800 metres so short walk. Taxis are at station if needed
Outside the station are buses which will take you along View Street where the gallery is or there's also a taxi rank there which could take you there. Just ask the friendly station staff which bus would be the best or the bus drivers will also assist.
Hi, it's just a walking distant. If you love to walk from the train station, it is 1.4km and easy to find. A good 4minutes walk and you have lots of cafe shops and shopping malls you will pass. You will also see the big statue of MArilyn Monroe.
If you get the taxi, the taxi stand just across the train station. There is market place to wind down. There is also a bus that can take you there but you need to know the timing schedule.Hope this information helps. I hope you enjoy our city Bendigo. Have fun!!!
