Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park Questions & Answers

For our party of 4 people, I am interested in the Standard Room ( Luxmore, - 2 Sets of Bunk). Has anyone stayed in this type of room? Do we need to bring our own soap, shampoo and towels? Please see room description below. Thanks so much.

-Standard Room - Quad Book Basic Room Sleeping 1-4 guests in 2 sets of bunks. Each room contains a heater, 4 single beds, linen and pillow case supplied as well as duvet and top sheet. Uses Luxmore communal bathrooms, dining and kitchen facilities. Wireless internet to the room or coin computers available in kitchen (Qualmark 3 star).

Yes you will need to bring your own soap/shampoo and towel. As indicated these rooms use communal facilities. You may hire towels from reception.

Sorry we didn't stay in these rooms. Where we stayed in the apartments there was everything supplied. Sorry we couldn't help you more.

The basic room that we stayed in had a double and 2 singles, we had to supply all soaps shampoos etc and towels as you are using shared bathrooms and toilets.

If I was booking there again I would NOT book these basic rooms, I would book a more expensive room and enjoy my stay with my own bathroom.

It is a great park to stay at and there are a lot of backpackers staying there so the bathrooms can become a little crowded,

Sometimes cheaper is not always the best, spend an extra few dollars and enjoy.

I look at it, this way, it is a great point for going to Milford Sound and the bus picks you up at the park. it is close to the lake, driving distance to Supermarket.

It is an expensive area of New Zealand because it is the only accom close to M.S.

So be comfortable and enjoy the experience.

Have a great holiday

Our party of four stayed in the garden view room. It had two rooms with all linen and soaps etc. Sorry haven't stayed in the bunk beds with communal bathrooms or kitchen. It has great prices as Te Anau is pretty expensive.
