What is the most convenient and economical way to reach this place from Airport?
we use skybus ....$19 last trip, go out of station and catch no 96 tram..... which is free. Get off tram first stop after mall, walk up lane to Ibis Victoria Hotel, in Little Collins Street.
Cheapest way for you.
Taxi from air port $60?????
Uber could be cheaper, but have never used them
there is a 901 bus in the airport terminal that will take you to Broadmeadows train station (15 min) then catch train into Flinders St. (30 min) Then 5 min walk to hotel. Not fastest route but cost of one Myki trip.
When my son and I arrived we got a taxi and the cost was around $50. Not sure about uber, but another option is a shuttle service. This worked out cheaper for me as was paying for 1 adult and 1 child.
Hi a taxi would be your best option!!
Probably Uber or the taxi system. That seems to be the only way unless you hire a vehicle and stay at there secure off street parking but you will need to phone ahead to book your car in. We were very happy with the off street parking .
As above re, the Shuttle bus from the airport. The tram is free so you would catch the number 86 or 96 at the stop outside The Exchange Hotel,on the corner of Spencer Str. & Burke Str.,make sure its heading AWAY from the station or you could end up in Saint Kilda.Get off the tram at the Swanston Str. stop, you will need to cross to the other side of the road for the hotel, you can walk through the Tivoli Arcade.
The trams could be quite crowded so it might be difficult if you have a lot of luggage.
The cheapest and very efficient way is to travel by Skybus. You can buy your tickets at the Skybus office outside the airport terminal. From there you will be transported by coach to the central terminal, where you will be transferred to a smaller mini bus which will take you to a location very close (2 blocks) to this hotel. You need to book the return trip with the Reception after arrival at the hotel.
Depending on the amount of people you ate travelling with. I guess. The cheapest way is the $18 ? Bus from the airport to Southern Cross station and then a tram from Spencer or Bourke St getting off at Swanston and walking last 200 metres approx. Or bus to Southern Cross and taxi for $12 to the hotel.
Use SKY Bus, you can book online or purchase ticket in the airport. They also have complimentary transfer to the hotel. I didn't use it personally (I was on business trip, so I used taxi), but saw this bus and the flyers all over the place. I think it is the most economical way
It's very easy to get the Shuttle Bus into Southern Cross Station and then get the tram out the front just a few stops.
Definitely the Shuffle service. If you get off at their Station Depot, the Collins or Bourke st tram will take you there. the tarm is free within the CBD.
