I just booked this hotel and I'm seeing alot of negative comments - are all the rooms outdated ? I saw another photo of what the room actually looks like so I just need a bit of reassurance thay what I just booked is reasonable to stay in
Good afternoon Stephanie,
Thank you for your message.
Can you please confirm the name of your reservation and I will be able to ascertain what room type you have booked?
I would love to know your thoughts, Stephanie if you have now stayed? I've got a booking for tomorrow night and am equally concerned.
yes not outdated nice views from Windows
Well it is outdated and quite frankly not THAT conveniently located as one might rather stay in CBD if you have to be there everyday because it will cost you about 30-35 AUD back and forth of taking a cab. Or you can take the tram from the closet station. The rooms are old but clean and comfortable, the bathroom is an issue because in my case the bath didnt work and neither did the hair dryer which kind of caused some embarrassment since i was on a business trip and wasnt carrying mine. The staff is allright. if you are not looking to spend big bucks id say go for it.
If you are expecting 5 star luxury not the place for you but a good mid range hotel
The room I stayed in was a little outdated, but clean and has everything that was needed :)
The hotel is outdated and so was the room I stated in. As with most hotels reservations are allocated the night before and individual preferences are taken into account where availability permits. If you are unsure prior to booking ask the front desk staff for a room viewing, they should have no issue arranging this for you. Don't expect the same level of quality and service that a premium hotel can provide. While this hotel was once grand it now fails in comparison to other well known hotel brands.
