I was sent an email about the noise expected from construction works at the Gibson Mills during our planned stay from 20/02/2016 to 22/02/2016. We rang the 03 6234 5063 number. The person who answered the phone point blank told me that she could not understand me (could be my foreign name, since I have qualified from UK university etc so I guess language or accent should not have been an issue). Anyway my partner felt insulted, so she took over but was told in plain words /(not exact words) take the booking or leave it, no negotiation no nothing. We were offered a cancellation.

I hope we are not met this same kind of welcome on the 20th.

I only had contact with the staff when handing in my room key at the end of my overnight stay. The staff member was pleasant and friendly, my room was great, no issue at all apart from the relatively complicated way of getting the room key when I arrived "after hours".

Their customer's service is poor,and house keeping lazy. I have this impression they were forced to be there, with the exception of one female receptionists, but you will have minimal dealing with them besides checking in and out. But the apartment was beautiful, clean, central & fully equipped. Though I wouldn't go back due to the attitude.
